Spare Time Films, those purveyors of quality short films in the North East of England, are looking for ACTORS/ACTRESSES to appear in their upcoming short films in 2001.

You should have a little acting experience, however small, and live in the North East, preferably as close to Hartlepool/Teesside as possible.

I know the talent is out there - we just can't seem to find it, and our crew is getting tired of doubling up as actors.

Erm, I should probably add that since we are a low-budget production outfit without two ha'pennies to rub together, we can't afford to pay anyone, apart from providing the traditional "catering and copy of the finished film" incentives.

Hey we know how you feel. It's tough getting talent in to work for next to nothing.

Try scouting round local colleges etc that do drama/media-related courses. If any of the students want to get into the business when they've finished their courses then any work they can get will help on their cv.

Of course, students are hard to motivate but offer to buy them a pint and they'll do anything for you...

If I was up north I'd offer to give you a hand but we're based in Luton so it's a bit tough. Sorry mate.
